Some words to Live by
Submitted by xiamenb2c on Sat, 20/03/2010 - 8:50amLove deeply and ardently, even if there is pain, but this is the way to make your life
complete;
Do more than others expect you to do and do it pains;
Don't take to heart every thing you hear. Don't spend all that you have. Don't sleep as long
as you want;
Whenever you say" I love you", please say it honestly;
Fall in love at first sight;
Don't neglect dreams;
Never judge people by their appearance;
When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and say, "Why do you want to
know?"
Remember that the man who can shoulder the most risk will gain the deepest love and the
supreme accomplishment;;
Call you mother on the phone. If you can't, you may think of her in your heart;
If you fail, don't forget to learn your lesson;
Remember the three " respects" .Respect yourself, respect others, stand on dignity and pay
attention to your behavior;
Don't let a little dispute break up a great friendship;
Whenever you make a phone call smile when you pick up the phone, because someone can feel it!
Marry a person who likes talking; because when you get old, you'll find that chatting to be a
great advantage;
Find time for yourself.
Remember that silence is golden;
Read more books and watch less television;
Live a noble and honest life. Reviving past times in your old age will help you to enjoy your
life again;
The harmonizing atmosphere of a family is valuable;
Try your best to let family harmony flow smoothly;
Treat our earth in a friendly way,don't fool around with mother nature.

What is the Joy of Living,the answer in here.
Submitted by xiamenb2c on Sat, 20/03/2010 - 8:48amThe joy of living comes from what we put into living, not from what we seek to get from it.
We can never get it by working for it directly. It comes, like happiness, to those who are
aiming at something higher. It is a byproduct of great, simple living.
They just live out their joy and let it splash its sunlight and glow into other lives as
naturally as bird sings.
Joy in living comes from having fine emotions, trusting them, giving them the freedom of a
bird in the open. Joy in living can never be assumed as a pose, or put on from the outside as
a mask. People who have this joy don not need to talk about it; they radiate it.

Chinese police start to crack down on the train ticket scalpers
Submitted by xiamenb2c on Sat, 20/03/2010 - 8:47am On Feb. 18,Chinese police have arrested more than 2,000 train ticket scalpers and have
broken up 1,000 gangs that made and sold counterfeit tickets as the country enters its peak
travel season leading up the Chinese Spring Festival.
More than 47,430 tickets, with a face value of 5.64 million yuan (720,000 U.S. dollars),
have been confiscated by the Chineses police.Some 50,000 policemen have been on duty at
railway stations, on trains and at [ticket booking offices] all over the country to crackdown
on illegal ticket dealings.
The Ministry of Railways announced earlier this year that railway ticket prices would not
be raised as they usually are during the 40-day-long holiday season which this year runs from
Feb. 3 to March 14.
This is- expected to cause a big [jump] in the number of train travelers and is also
attracting more ticket scalpers.
Some scalpers were offering fake tickets which they were selling for seven to ten times
their- face value. Cui Xihua, an official of the Beijing railway public security department
said, China's train ticket scalpers first appeared in the 1980s.In China, rail is the most
popular means of travel as 156 million passengers are expected to travel by train during this
year's holiday season.Nowadays ticket scalpers are using text messages and the Internet to
advertise and sell ticket, said Cui.

China's worries good for the world
Submitted by xiamenb2c08 on Sat, 20/03/2010 - 6:45amChinese Premier Wen Jiabao answers questions during a press conference after the closing meeting of the Third Session of the 11th National People's Congress (NPC) at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, capital of China, March 14, 2010. (Xinhua/Ju Peng)
BEIJING, March 15 -- The world is used to hearing about the West's concerns over China-related issues, so it may come as a surprise how frequently China's worries came up during Premier Wen Jiabao's press conference Sunday.
The term "worries" was used as many as 13 times during the concluding press conference of this year's NPC session, while it was used only about four times when Wen met the press upon the conclusion of the "two sessions" in 2009, and it was not used at all in Wen's 2007 and 2008 press conferences.
The signal conveyed here is strong and clear: China is deeply concerned with the mounting domestic and external pressures, both of which pose severe tests for its savvy and vision.
Justice is the top item in China's long list of worries. It outweighs other anxieties, as it spells out the root cause for many other thorny domestic problems, including corruption, income distribution, the hukou (residency permit) system, housing price bubbles and inflation.
As Wen stated, "Equity and justice are the basis of social stability, and they shine brighter than the sun." While this year's NPC session has been hailed for having passed an amendment to the electoral law, which grants equal representation to urban and rural citizens in the legislature, China has far to go toward both economic and political justice.
Even during the worst time of the global financial crisis, when China's economy suffered a huge blow in the aftermath of Lehman's collapse, it was still Western nations, not China, that expressed anxieties.

Be happy for the day
Submitted by xiamenb2c04 on Sat, 20/03/2010 - 1:57amIf your life feels like it is lacking the power that you want and the motivation that you need, sometimes all you have to do is shift your point of view. By training your thoughts to concentrate on the bright side of things, you are more likely to have the incentive to follow through on your goals. You are less likely to be held back by negative ideas that might limit your performance. Your life can be enhanced, and your happiness enriched, when you choose to change your perspective. Don't leave your future to chance, or wait for things to get better mysteriously on their own. You must go in the direction of your hopes and aspirations. Begin to build your confidence, and work through problems rather than avoid them. Remember that power is not necessarily control over situations, but the ability to deal with whatever comes your wayAlways believe that good things are possible, and remember that mistakes can be lessons that lead to discoveries. Take your fear and transform it into trust; learn to rise above anxiety and doubt. Turn your "worry hours" into "productive hours". Take the energy that you have wasted and direct it toward every worthwhile effort that you can be involved in. You will see beautiful things happen when you allow yourself to experience the joys of life. You will find happiness when you addopt positive thinking into your daily routine and make it an important part of your world.

Immortal animal only in the world
Submitted by xiamenb2c04 on Sat, 20/03/2010 - 1:51amThe turritopsis nutricula species of jellyfish may be the only animal in the world to have truly discovered the fountain of youth.
Since it is capable of cycling from a mature adult stage to an immature polyp stage and back again, there may be no natural limit to its life span. Scientists say the hydrozoan jellyfish is the only known animal that can repeatedly turn back the hands of time and revert to its polyp state (its first stage of life).
The key lies in a process called transdifferentiation, where one type of cell is transformed into another type of cell. Some animals can undergo limited transdifferentiation and regenerate organs, such as salamanders, which can regrow limbs. Turritopsi nutricula, on the other hand, can regenerate its entire body over and over again. Researchers are studying the jellyfish to discover how it is able to reverse its aging process.
Because they are able to bypass death, the number of individuals is spiking. They're now found in oceans around the globe rather than just in their native Caribbean waters. "We are looking at a worldwide silent invasion," says Dr. Maria Miglietta of the Smithsonian Tropical Marine Institute

Monkeys learn more from females
Submitted by xiamenb2c06 on Sat, 20/03/2010 - 1:33amaccording to research, Monkeys pay more attention to females than to males.
Scientists studying wild vervet monkeys in South Africa found that the animals were better able to learn a task when it was demonstrated by a female.
Their findings are described in the journal Proceedings of the Royal Society B.
During an initial demonstration, the researchers blocked one of the doors, so there was only one correct way to solve the box-opening puzzle and access the fruit reward.
Watching and learning from dominant females could be advantageous for the monkeys. While males tend to wander and find mates in other groups, females usually return to the group in which they were born.
"Females are core group members with higher social status than males, and more knowledge about food resources in the home range," explained Ms van de Waal.
She said the results revealed valuable insights into "the evolution of traditions and culture in species living in stable groups, including humans".
"Experiments on social learning have been conducted mainly in captivity and it is time to know if the results are the same on wild animals."

Barack Obama postpones Australia, Indonesia trip
Submitted by xiamenb2c08 on Fri, 19/03/2010 - 9:51am"We greatly regret the delay of the trip," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said, but he added the "passage of health insurance reform is of paramount importance and the President is determined to see this battle through".
The President was due to arrive in Australia on Thursday for a one-day visit confined to Canberra. The White House said that he may now visit in June.
Mr Rudd told the Seven Network today that Mr Obama had phoned him this morning to relay the news.
"We had a good conversation, but it's going to be good to see him later in the year," he said.
"He'd like to have a more relaxed visit than the 24-hour whip in, whip out that the last one had come down to."
Start of sidebar.
Mr Rudd told the President he sympathised with his plight, having had his own issues with a problematic Senate and pushing through changes to healthcare.
"What he's trying to do is get this through the American congress - he's having a huge job."
Asked whether the June visit was locked in, Mr Rudd said: "I'm going to be happy anytime the President chooses to visit ... I'm pretty relaxed about that.
"It'd be nice to have him, Michelle and the kids."
The President's spokesman said it was now clear that a House of Representatives vote on health care reform could not now take place until Sunday afternoon at the earliest.
Mr Obama had already delayed his trip in a bid to pilot his bid to extend health care coverage to some 32 million Americans through Congress.
The President believed that his Democratic allies in the House would have enough votes to pass the legislation, Mr Gibbs said.
"I think the President in the calls and meetings he's having with individual leaders is making great progress," Mr Gibbs said, adding Mr Obama believed his place was to be in Washington "seeing this through".

State firms told to exit real estate sector
Submitted by xiamenb2c03 on Fri, 19/03/2010 - 4:04amIn a move to curb soaring property price, the State-assets watchdog on Thursday told major State-owned enterprises (SOEs) whose core business is not real estate to quit the market.
Except for 16 SOEs which are purely real estate developers, 78 enterprises under the direct supervision of the State Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) will speed up restructuring and pull out of the property sector.
But many analysts expressed doubts whether the move will have a significant impact on the sector.
"This is important to control skyrocketing land prices. But it will not have an immediate effect of cooling down prices," said Carlby Xie, associate director at property firm Colliers' North China division.
With easier access to bank loans and buoyed by the $586 billion stimulus package unveiled in late 2008, the SOEs have set many records in land auction bids. Many believe the SOEs have pushed up land prices, which in turn sent house prices soaring.
Half of the proposals put forward during the recently-concluded annual sessions of the top legislature and the political advisory body were targeted at rising housing prices.
But they do not appear to have dampened the enthusiasm of land-thirsty developers.
In the past several days, three pieces of land up for auction in Beijing were grabbed by SOEs, all for record prices.

Chinese tourists to see the world
Submitted by xiamenb2c03 on Fri, 19/03/2010 - 4:02amMore mainland tourists are expected to spend money on overseas travel this year, said a report by a think tank to the national tourism authority
The Annual Report of China Outbound Tourism Development 2009-2010, released by the China Tourism Academy on Thursday, estimated that 54 million tourists would go abroad this year, up from 47 million in 2009.
They are expected to spend 48 billion yuan ($6.86 billion) overseas, up 14 percent from a year earlier, the report said.
"The outbound travel market of the Chinese mainland will remain brisk this year, continuing to contribute to the recovery of the world economy and helping to offset China's trade surplus," said Jiang Yiyi, director of the academy's international tourism development institute.
The academy, which interviewed 2,600 tourists in major cities in January, found the demographics of this market are people aged between 25 and 44, with high incomes and educational backgrounds.
While more than half of them said shopping is their biggest expenditure, the survey found mainland tourists tend to give a low score when asked to rate their satisfaction over shopping and the service of travel agencies.
Dai Bin, deputy chief of the academy, said countries should provide more services and facilities in Chinese, in order to enhance satisfaction rates.
China is now the biggest tourist market in Asia, with 100 million people forecast to travel overseas by 2020.
